We believe in one God who exists eternally as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We are committed to making disciples of Jesus Christ through biblical teaching, authentic community, and serving others. Yes. Living Hope Bryan is a Baptist church. We affirm historic Baptist convictions such as believer's baptism, the authority of Scripture, the autonomy of the local church, and salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone.

Living Hope Bryan shares many theological convictions commonly associated with Reformed theology, including God's sovereignty in salvation and the belief that salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone. However, our primary identity is not found in a theological label but in our commitment to the authority of Scripture and the gospel of Jesus Christ.

We believe salvation is the free gift of God, received by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. Because of sin, humanity is unable to save itself. Salvation is made possible only through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Those who repent of their sins and trust in Christ alone are forgiven, reconciled to God, and given eternal life.

Our pastors primarily preach and teach from the English Standard Version (ESV). From time to time, other faithful translations may be referenced to provide additional clarity or insight.

We practice believer's baptism by immersion. Baptism does not save a person, but it is an act of obedience that publicly identifies a believer with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Because baptism is intended for those who have personally trusted in Christ, we do not practice infant baptism.

If you're interested in becoming a member of Living Hope Bryan, we encourage you to speak with one of our elders. You'll meet with an elder for a membership interview, where you'll have the opportunity to hear both the privileges and responsibilities of church membership, including our commitment to meaningful membership and mutual accountability within the church family. You'll also have the opportunity to ask questions, and share your testimony. After that conversation, you'll have the opportunity to decide whether Living Hope Bryan is the church family where you'd like to commit and serve.

At Living Hope Bryan, we believe church membership is more than having your name on a list. Membership is a commitment to worship, serve, and grow alongside other believers as part of a local church family. Members encourage one another, pursue holiness together, and submit to the loving care and leadership of the church's elders. Because we take membership seriously, we also believe that loving accountability, including biblical church discipline when necessary, is an important part of helping one another follow Christ faithfully. Our desire is always restoration, repentance, and spiritual growth, never shame or punishment.
